Marble with Bronze Clock Set

French clockset was made between 1870-1880(EMPIRE PERIOD). The dial is signed with” MERIMEE MANTES” and the clock work is stamped on the back ” VCMB Mougin-Deux Medailles”. Mougin was one of the most famous clockmakers in France at that time. This real beautiful museumpiece of an absolutely rare clockset is in complete original and excellent condition. Good running and striking condition with 8 days going French movement and the 1/1 and 1/2 hours striking on a silvered bell.The brass hands are really beautiful and are handmade.

The dimensions are:Clock: Height:15,5 inches (39.5 cm), width:10 inches (25.5 cm) and depth 5 inches (12.7 cm).

Candle Sticks: Height: 9,5 inches (24 cm), width: 8 inches (20.3 cm) and depth 3 inches (7.5 cm).
