French Empire Clock Set

The style of this clockset is Empire and dates about 1900. The clockset is made of the finest white marble flamed with different other colours of marble and decorated with beautiful bronze and brass ornaments. The bronze clock work is stamped on the back ” Samuel Marti-Medaille d’Or-Paris 1900″. Marti was one of the most famous clockmakers in France at that time. This real beautiful museumpiece of an absolutely rare clockset is in complete original and excellent condition. Good running and striking condition with 8 days going French movement and the 1/1 and 1/2 hours striking on a silvered bell. The brass hands are really beautiful and are handmade. The hand painted porcelain dial has some minimal haircracks.

The dimensions are:Clock: Height:18,5 inches (47 cm), width: 10 inches (25.5 cm) and depth: 5 inches (12.7 cm).

Candelabras: Height: 17 inches (43 cm), width: 7 inches (17.7 cm) and depth: 7 inches (17.7 cm).
